  68. CONTRACT BRIDGE, consisting of BRIDGE.EXE and BRIDGE.DOC, is a highly
  69. interactive DOS program that bids, plays and scores rubber matches of
  70. the card game Contract Bridge. It requires a color text monitor. Mouse
  71. support is included. There are a variety of utilities included. For
  72. example, you can enter hands from the keyboard, and save the current
  73. deal and rubber score to disk.

  75. CONTRACT BRIDGE is best suited for recreational players who enjoy
  76. informal games of Rubber Bridge, but most players should find themselves
  77. both challenged and entertained by the program.

  99. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTE TO HARD DRIVE

  101. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.

  103.    1) Place the CONTRACT BRIDGE distribution diskette in the appropriate
  104.       diskette drive.
  105.  
  106.    2) Copy BRIDGE.* from the distribution disk to a directory of your
  107.       choosing on your hard drive.
  108.  
  109.    3) Change to the directory where you installed the program and
  110.       type BRIDGE at the DOS prompt to run the program.
  111.  
  112. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  113.  
  114. If you downloaded CONTRACT BRIDGE from a BBS (or received it in the form
  115. of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  116. following steps.
  117.  
  118.    1) Extract the contents of the archive file in a diretcory of
  119.       your choosing on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  120.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  121.       If you don't have the tools and knowledge to perform this step,
  122.       you should be able to obtain directions from the same source
  123.       from which you received the package.

  125.    2) Type BRIDGE at the DOS prompt to run the program.

  129. Select the INSTRUCTIONS item from the main menu to familiarize yourself
  130. with the conventions and key strokes used in the program. After each
  131. hand has been played, you can return to the main menu, review the
  132. instructions, and then return to continue the rubber with the score
  133. intact.
